I will put my two cents in on the smoking ban in bars etc:
I do not smoke. Quit about 30 years ago. Still ended up with a smoking related illness. (You will suffer from some form of smoking related ilness at some point in time, no matter what you think.) That’s just a fact of life…Oh and if you are working in a bar..remember, you have the right to quit and move on to perhaps a job where thay do not smoke..Thats your choice….
The way I handle it is..If someone approaches me who reeks of tobacco smells, I just rudely say, you smell like a rotting pig.. Please move away from me and stay at least six feet. We can have our conversation from that distance. If you choose to smoke fine. That is your problem. Just stay away from me.
As far as agreeing or disagreeing with the ban on smoking in bars…I do not frequent them so it has no effect on me. I take a neutral stance.
Now for the “other thing.” First time in quite a while I have seen the entire city council agree on anything.
Sad that it could not have been on something important for the city’s progress..
Seems to me they stink as much as the smoking ban ordnance.
