Have they added up the profit from Q’in on the Red??? (More)

Some body help me!

How much  profit?  Loss??? Anyone heard anything.?

What happened?

(Yes I am being sarcastic.)

I have been led to believe it was a total failure.

Now we are even deeper in pig do-do because of it.

At what point do you figure that a person will not spend $10.00 to get into a event that has 4th rate entertainment that you can go to any bar to see for free and then pay to eat half cooked pork?

Alexandria’s Mayor at one of his briefings.

It's going to happen this way!

Alexandria  city council following his actions.
He dances well!

Our Alexandria council president sorting things out.

I think i've got it. Oops!

Chewing on the Red. Was it successful?

The Town Talk and  other  media have shown stock photographs of the Bar-B-Quein all weekend long.

Suprise—–No pictures of the crowd.

How badly did we lose this time around?

Probably the only folks that made any money was the group that put the cookers together that traveled here.

Let’s see how GLORIOUS a story is told Monday and all next week.

Ten dollars to go to  an event where all you see is half drunk chief’s and forth rate entertainment plus you have to pay for the half-cooked pork.

How:

Did it bring tourism to Central Louisiana?

Boost the economy?

Help downtown?

What an event!

What a waste!

What a joke!

Louisiana College has problems. It is not like it was in the past.

Several of the blog’s have written about Louisiana College lately.

You can quote from the bible till the cows come home. Which some dolt’s will routinely do.       (I am in no way talking about the blog author’s!)

I remember LC  from the  1950 through the 70′s. Those days of first-rate education are long gone.

Religion and education are antagonistic bed fellows at best. They have a tenuous relationship.

It seems to me the Shepard is thinning the flock and obtaining much more pasture land than it can handle.  Delusions of grandeur do not work when you are running what once was a prestigious school of higher education.

Good leadership trumps zealot leadership every time.

I smell what are routinely called hypocrites.

That is a shame, because LC should excel in its ability to educate.

Lets put the Lord on watch and education first.

Oh, and do not blame bad press on Satan.

But……Satan can be responsible for causing those in positions of authority to sweep things under the rug or try to suppress them.. (He loves to do things like that.)

Those who know me, know that I am just making fun of ignorance and mismanagement Oh, and unbelievable arrogance!.

Most of this was written  for the fun of it.

I do think LC needs to moderate its course a bit.

Potassium Iodine harmful to health. We are under NO danger!

Just a short note on the stupidity happening  in California and  what might spread to other parts of the country. Do not believe the misinformation that is being spread by illiterate people….

We will not be affected by any fallout from Japan in

any way, shape or form.

PERIOD!

According to doctors, potassium iodide is most helpful to children and pregnant women who have been exposed to radiation and it is not reported to be very helpful to those older than 40.

Doctors warn against taking the supplement because it decreases the amount of thyroid hormone your body makes.

“It can decrease your heart rate, and you can have a heart attack ..There are also people who are deathly allergic to iodide.”

I feel like a fool writing this, but there are those who will let their imagination

go completely berserk.

I own a Scintillation counter and a Geiger counter and I do not think either one will even be turned on much less register any abnormal readings.

Alexandria Mall. Saturday possible problem? Reports of gun pulled and fight’s.

There is a problem.

A number of eye witness reports of a gun pulled in the Mall.

Public relations slammed into protect the Malls shopping desirability.

Reports and police action do not mesh.

Lets not ruin the Malls last dying gasp’s.

Two other blog’s reported it.

They (The Mall & police.)  tried to downplay it..

Backfired on them.

Annual burning of the money! aka (Que’in on the Red.)

At some point in time after burning close to $200,000 in public money you would think that someone, somewhere, somehow, would realize there is no way in hell this thing is going to be even remotely succesful.

But what the heck, lets throw some more  dollar bill’s on the fire and get that pork to roasting!

March 18 and 19th. (Burning, Burning, Burning money on the river!)

And yes, I do have an idea that would actually bring in tourist and out of town people who would actually spend money, but that’s the last thing anyone around here would want to happen…Oh, and the cost would be minimal.  ( I know, thats a big minus with the powers that be.)

Cabrini and Baseball field crossing. Why??

Who’s bright idea was it to place a  concrete island in the middle of Texas Avenue???

Heavy traffic area.

Hospital on one side.

Baseball field on the other.

A seldom if ever used walking path connected to a hospital across the street.

All I  see are cars running over the island. Notice the tire marks.

They can be seen on both sides.

I guess the Cabrini workers are going to stand in the middle of the street and smoke now.

What earthly purpose other than a waste of taxpayer money and a possible wreck or two is accomplished by  this? I see several nice telephone poles to hit.

There will be some irate folks with auto front end alignment problems..

Oh, and no warning signs on the approach to either side…Whoops!

Why is it all I visualize is the city and Cabrini humping in the back seat of a city vehicle?
