Memorial Day is not for party’s and auto races.

Remember those who died.

Memorial Day is for honor and remembrance.

A lot of men and women over the years have  fought and died to make our country what it is.

Try to think about their sacrifices Monday.

Remember this is what war looks like.

Not pretty is it?

These are previously unpublished photographs taken by a Marine Seabee on Iowa Jima.

He snuck in a camera and took a roll of pictures. He had them developed after he arrived back home.

Some of the photographs are far worse than these. (I just posted the less horrible.)

The Oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. (I’m puzzled, why don’t they just collapse it?)

Haven’t written any thing for a while because I have just sort of set back and chilled on the Mayor fiasco.

I decided there is no one with the guts to step forward and offer a constructive campaign instead of the drivel we are forced to listen to.

(I have not lost hope, yet!)

In the Gulf we have a rogue well that is daily spewing oil into the water.  Millions of gallons or barrels. However you want to gauge it.

I had an uncle who was the president of a geophysical Company in Oklahoma City. He once told me that there was more oil under the Gulf and the Continental United States than any one truly know’s. Here in Central Louisiana there are several fields.. You just have to have the geological readings of the terrain and be willing to drill to the right depth. He also told me that the general public is ignorant of these facts. (be that as it may.)

When the Gulf rig burned and collapsed, the bottom line of the oil company’s is of course to continue production. No matter what the consequences..

Their primary purpose is to control the oil and harvest it.  The least important thing to them is saving the waters of the Gulf. They do not want to loose that well come hell or high water.

With underwater explosives, the well could have been collapsed long ago, but with a passion they do not want to loose any revenue they can salvage.

Hence, they are using what ever means to keep the well from being plugged.  They are interested in only keeping their revenue flowing, so to speak.

Why  has there not been a movement to collapse the well and shut it down with explosives as has been done with other rogue well sites?

I really do not think there is an anwser, other than greed.

Am I the only person to think  common sense has become a thing of the past?

(From the lack of comment, I would assume so.)

I’m puzzled……It is if no one gives a damn!
