The upcoming mayors race in Alexandria, La.

The many faces of politics..

I have sounded like a broken record as of late, talking about the way the blog’s of Central Louisiana are slinging “poop” as I politely call it.

It  turns my stomach to see what is going on for a reason.

I have seen the whole routine done before, the same way, except with out the benefit of the internet.

In the late part of 1972, I found myself, not by choice.. but by accident.. involved in the John K. Snyder Mayor’s campaign.

The things I saw and learned about politics, made me determined to never become involved in a  political race ever!

I wish I could tell everything I saw, but that’s another story in itself..

I saw people paid for any type of nasty rumor they could dredge up about anyone that dared to talk about John  Snyder in any unfavorable way what so ever.

Sound familiar?

Instead of placing guards at the doors to the City Hall, he removed doors to give the impression of open-ness.

He hated Joe D. Smith with a passion.

He paid people to come up with information against Smith.  Publisher of the Town Talk.

For dumb  projects then it was:

Cat fish in the city swimming pool.

Today:

Spray pads..

There is no difference today in what is going on.

The Blog’s say:

Everyone is bad…no one is good…everyone is crooked…no one is honest.

From what I see and hear and read, things have not changed since 1972.

Thats sad, because it will not change.

This… my candidate is better than yours is a repetitive “ looney tune”  that has been repeated over and over since the beginning of time.

None of the people mentioned so far are qualified to run for dog catcher, much less the Parish line.

The current mayor has tried to do a good job, no matter what his “ vested interest”  are.

He is the lesser of all the evil’s that are being touted.

Will someone better step up to the plate?

Not much hope is there?

I watch with amusement at the attempts to smear.

Let’s face the fact’s.

Politics is, has and always will be a corrupt game.

One in a hundred have good intentions.

(not very good odd’s)

I do not think I will be posting for a while.

I will just sit back and shake my head in wonder and amusement……

How to fix the Bayou Rapides levee problems.

Easy fix of the levee.

Now this is the way they did it here in Alexandria in the past.

They hired some folks and they piled up dirt to the proper level.

You send the bill to the guilty land owners, who caused the problem..

End of story.

Why is today so different???

Note:

No charge for my engineering and consulting work. I give that freely to the city.

That should save the city  thousands of dollars

.(because of our budget problem, I donated   my time on this multi-level complex  in-depth study.)

A few comments about our , “Poop tossing” ,Central Louisiana Bloggers.

It's fun when you toss poop!!

For the past few weeks, I have noted the attack modes of all the Central Louisiana Blog’s.

Against each other and anyone else that dared to contradict their viewpoint.

I admit to having some strong opinions myself, but I hesitate to demean people

by making fun of them other than perhaps calling them Clowns or out right fools.

I try  not to  stoop to racial innuendoes or name calling, no matter how bitterly I may  disagree with them.

There is a group of people here in Central Louisiana who will dig in their heels at the hint of a mention of a progressive idea.

God forbid we should make our town stand out or be a focal point for anything. (Period,)

Frankly I am ashamed of all the bloggers for their  lack of good judgement and taste for that matter.

(I say that realising I have made some stupid remarks myself in the past.)

I see no positive ideas being put forth by the criticizing crowds.

Just name calling … or  (poop tossing)

We have a Mayor who is doing the best job he can. He has his drawbacks like anyone else.

So far I have seen no one step forward to lay out a better plan.

None of the mentioned opponents have any abilities superior to our present mayor.

(and I do not need to go into detail on that.)

The upcoming election will not be about progress or positive issues,

it will just be a finger-pointing, poop tossing  , he did this and that tirade.

It is a shame thing’s never change.

It is a low blow to just make fun and taunt someone because you do not like them.

I am not better than anyone else or am I above them. I am just plain old Alex Cenla.

Ashamed of our representative Central Louisiana Bloggers, for the image they are giving readers across Louisiana..

Oh, and  Jacques Barack… If you tell me who you are, I will tell you who I am.

All the other bloggers know who I am and respect my request to remain as Alex.

Lets level the playing field… (wishful thinking.)

Shame on all of you!

Politics..and the blog war’s…….

Politics…Every time the four-year cycle begins to grind to an end, what ever group that places themselves in  the “in” political group of the moment..or “out” for that matter….

Run to behind the barn and grab their shovel. Then they begin to throw the  accumulated manure of the past three years in every direction they can.

It is a ritual..repeated over and over since the beginning of time. It never is about the good things that have been done.

It is all about every mis-step or stutter that the incumbent has made since day one of his or her tenure in office.

Has been..always will be. Never changes…never will….

Let’s face it. Anyone who runs for office, at least here in Central Louisiana, has an ulterior  motive behind their bravado.

He or she has a certain destination down that crooked road that they are determined to get to..by hook or crook..

Some do and do not get caught..other’s  do and end up having a spotlight focused on them…

Our current Mayor has a special deal working somewhere and so will anyone else who may or may not take his place.

That’s just a fact of life…

So the next time you hear or see some of that shovel load headed your way..Just duck, shake your head and go about your business..

Let the pig”s play in their pen…you end up getting more accomplished by just stepping over the pile and continuing to  walk your own path.

(Or..take a cigar..and lets go in the back room and talk.)
