Reading my morning Trivial Talk, I see now the three ring circus known as the city council have issues about the size of the respective spray pads in the parks in the districts they supposedly represent..
It’s a juvenile “yours is bigger than mine” issue.
But why should that surprise me? It seems they are always in a “urinating contest” with each other.
Just what is a park? My mental picture has always been..
A quiet, tree shaded area, set aside for peace and contemplation.
A few children”s swings and slides and perhaps a sand area for playing.
Benches for the parents so they can watch their children at play.
When it comes’s to water sports. There were places called natatoriums.

We have lost sight of what this is all about.
These were areas with pools, splash ponds, spray pad’s, etc…
Amusement parks have the things that the city council want to place in the parks.
Would it not be cheaper and more beneficial to the city cost wise, if they want an amusement park plan, to just lease the area’s to individuals to promote and maintain.
Instead we spend a million dollars to build spray parks that will end up being torn apart within the next five years and be a maintenance nightmare of expense. (Plus the unseen chance of injury suits.)
Well I am an old fuddy-duddy and what do I know????
It just sounds like we are wasting money for the sake of spending it.
And the circus continues at city hall. (At least it’s free admission to see it!”)

They are probably not operational at the moment as they have just been installed, but why are they there???
