Problems coming for the corner of Maureen & Jackson Streets. (IF) PLUS..updated.

April 22, 2009 · 1 Comment

blowup1There is a proposal to rezone two lots at the intersection of Maureen and Jackson Street.

The owners reportedly want to build a fast food resturant there and tear down the two homes.

I do not mind that as much  as I see bigtime problems with Alexandria High School traffic when school let’s out in  the afternoon.

As it is now all the school buses are routed on to Jackson Street at that corner.

All the children with auto’s route that way going on to Jackson, going and coming to school.

BIG TIME TRAFFIC PROBLEM!!!

Even with the light at that intersection.

Will anyone give a damn?? Probably not!!!

Just like the problem of a local Realtor using a single family dwelling as a hotel-motel at 813 Terra, just down the street.

It appears that the home, hopefully was rented under false pretences. It is a verified fact  six (6) men are staying in it.

Sleeping on blow up mattresses. The Good Earth area is not zoned for a motel as far as I can determine.

Renting it by the week or month to anyone they want is a local real estate company  for  an  investment group called —02 Property’s LLC..    (Or perhaps better captioned as Slum Lords LLC)  ( If I get mad enough, I may just list the owners names and phone numbers and business ownership’s)

Or, better yet, a picture is worth a thousand words. (and I am about two days from publishing one.)

Take a look at the home if you pass it.

People are sleeping on the floor of the house and hanging their wash  to dry on the back yard fence.

No one keeps up the yard and God knows what the inside look’s like..

Again, who gives a Damn???

Do You???

Code enforcement in Alexandria is piss poor at best.

Coliseum tax voted down.

April 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Well I am not surprised. If it passed a lot of follks would have lost enough money for a few cartons of cigarettes and maybe a case of beer at most.

Now you can look forward to spending 40 or 50 million dollars for a new coliseum that will be of less quality than the one we have now.

That will be the next thing that will be pushed by those powers that be.

It never ceases to amaze me, the way people think when it comes to public recreation.

A small sacrifice would have kept the building in good shape.

Maybe Obama will come to the rescue with a few grants from his money printing factory.

The fat lady is singing,opera1but she looks a little  pissed mad.
