According to the Louisiana History Museum,   louisianahistorymuseum.org   The Cotton Blossom was a river boat that was moored for a number of years at the foot of the Murray Street bridge on the Red River on the Alexandria side. It was a tourist attraction and had a large dance hall and restaurant… I think that if the Delta Queen  river boat is brought  to Alexandria it would be a 100% plus factor for tourism along with a multitude of other things… Alex supports the idea 1000%. ……But once again promotion is everything.
