OK, I gotta bitch a bit..
I am driving down Jackson Street, headed toward the river. I see beautiful homes along the way. I stop for the red light at the corner of Bolton and Jackson. Looking to the left and above the two lawyer signs, I see the gaping hole I have seen for the past several years. Semi-beautiful scenic Bolton Avenue. Is everyone blind to this collapsing building, once the NAACP office, but empty from all appearances and uninhabited.. It looks like someone shot a cannon at the back upper story.. The city council regularly condemns run down and unlivable houses. That rule does not apply to this eye sore? Or is it owned by a council members second cousin? Fix it or make it disappear! Whose district is the house in???

Was watching Fox News yesterday. Its surprising what they do sometimes for news. The commentator was stuck on the subject of African American or Black. He said he preferred to be called an American of African decent. So I have friends who now should be labeled an American of Irish,Indian,Spanish, French decent. What we won’t do for attention. Frankly I prefer Frank or Joe or Mr Smith or Mrs Smith. I try to recognise a person by their abilities and intelligence, not whether they are green or brown or black or white or pink for that matter.
Was reading the Blogs of probably the two major commentators the past few days. Both are interesting and insightful. One a young man with solid connections to the current administration. The other a person who has some very interesting views and seemingly no connections to the current political motel room. And I must say I disagree with some of the observations of both. My old dear departed dad had a saying. “Variety is the spice of life.” So I have to say I like them both, because I enjoy different points of view.
I think I will go take a nap now…….
